About Lily

With a deep passion for Japanese culture, I have lived and worked in Japan, and one of the things I particularly enjoyed about my life there was dressing up (of course, Japanese food is a close runner-up :). Coming back to Singapore after a long hiatus, I often find it difficult to buy clothes and accessories due to the sheer lack of variety of good-sense, affordable stores. I end up stocking up on my wardrobe everytime I make return trips for visits. I am certainly not alone in this dilemma. Many of my Japanese expat friends love Singapore for its cleanliness, safety, favourable working conditions (relative to Japan) etc., but none have praises for Singapore's fashion scene. My good friend Aya has frequently lamented on the lack of mid-range Japanese and global brands in Singapore, especially for OLs like herself.

Lily of the Valley was born out of a deep, committed love for wearable, sensible, good quality Japanese fashion. Friends who have been to Japan often have praises for their experimental play with layering and accessories. No matter how you stand out from the crowd, few will blink an eye, because fashion is a way of expressing identity, things that you truly love and feel for, not a blind follower.

I take great pains to source out a wide variety of items that are of good value and uncompromising quality. Most of the items listed are very affordably priced at below S$100. To maintain exclusivity, I only bring in very limited quantities of each design. Importing directly from Japanese brand suppliers, ridiculous savings are passed to you through bypassing the middlemen (and crazy advertising costs, just flip any Japanese fashion magazines to see how this is so).

I take pride in my hand-picked collections, and personally check every item before it is delivered to you, ensuring that you get authentic items at a fraction of retail prices in Japan. Looking forward, I'm excited to announce that Lily will feature collaboration collections with Japanese expats in Singapore, teaming up with my good friends to bring to you what we would love to wear ourselves.

We look forward to dressing you up.
